RED FLAG WARNING - Sunday, March 15, 2026 Noon - 9:00 PM

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from Noon to 9:00 PM Sunday for McLennan County and surrounding areas due to dangerous fire weather conditions. Strong northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph, combined with very low humidity around 19% and warm temperatures near 87°F, will create an environment where fires can start easily and spread rapidly. Residents are strongly urged to avoid all outdoor burning and activities that could produce sparks or open flames during this time. If you see smoke or fire, report it immediately to 9-1-1 or your local fire department.
